im 13yrs old
Play alot of Football – everyday about 8hours jog every day an play for west ham academy
live in a family house with little kids
strong healthy kid, quiet big for my age
im thinking maybe a pitbull or german shephard or a bulldog i want something that can outrun me
i had a japanese akita but it was very lazy an had problems
* my akita had some sort of problem with his legs
im thinking of a pitbull or a german shephard
or something like that^^^^
obviously i need education im full time at the FOOTBALL ACADEMY meaning i go school there i had a trial then they said yes an signed me i am queit busy but im not the only one whos going to be looking after the dog my brothers can help me out ……………………

Okay,
From reading your question,
I do not advise you getting a bulldog, because these dogs aren’t very athletic, (maybe an American Bulldog)
A pitbull, oh I love these big babies!
Not a dog like them, but most people say these are vicious dogs, and they are mean. Not true, it’s all in the breeder. It is very hard to find a breeder who has a very clear background for the dog’s history, even if the grandparents of the puppy, was in dog fights, that will still affect you pitbull. I’m not saying that there isn’t a good breeder, but it is hard to find one. I speak from experience. If you think you can find a responsible pitbull breeder, then sure go ahead and go for one!
But I would also like to cross your mind with another breed (also one of my favorites) a Boxer!
Not sure if you have looked into this breed, but you should. They somewhat have the appearance of a pitbull, just taller.
Boxers on the other hand, you can find a good breeder a lot more easily than a pitbull.
Here is just some quick information of the breed.

Character: The Boxer is happy, friendly, intelligent, attentive, and loyal. Boxers develop strong, close bonds with family. They have lots of energy and a serious demeanor, though they can be clownish and playful as well. They make excellent guardians and companions.

Temperament: The Boxer gets along especially well with children. They also get along well with other dogs and household pets, but may be aggressive towards unknown dogs. (which should not be a problem if you socialize as a puppy… which is a great experience)

Training: The Boxer must be trained not to jump up at people as it is naturally fond of jumping. (Quick learner) The Boxer is ideal for various sporting activities because it can be highly trained and learns very quickly. Boxers may be stubborn in learning, but they are responsive to commands.

Activity: The Boxer needs plenty of physical and mental exercise on a daily basis. They should be allowed to run or go for long walks regularly. Boxers enjoy playing fetch or other activities. They can tolerate apartment life if exercised sufficiently, but a fair-sized yard is ideal. Lonely, inactive Boxers can become stressed out and destructive. (Since you are planned to give your dog a lot of exercise, you should have no problems!

-Hope I helped-
Good luck!

Trousers

chanel women’s bootsTrousers are an item of clothing worn on the lower part of the body from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth stretching across both as in skirts and dresses). Such items of clothing are often referred to as pants in countries such as Canada, South Africa and the United States. Additional synonyms include slacks or breeches (sometimes pronounced ['br?t??z]. Historically, as for the West, trousers have been the standard lower-body clothing item for males since the 16th century; by the late 20th century, they had become prevalent for females as well. Trousers are worn at the hips or waist, and may be held up by their own fastenings, a belt, or suspenders (braces). Leggings are form-fitting trousers of a clingy material, often knitted cotton and lycra.
Terminology

In North America, pants is the general category term, and trousers refers, often more formally, specifically to tailored garments with a waistband and (typically) belt-loops and a fly-front. For instance, informal elastic-waist knitted garments would never be called trousers in the U.S. Undergarments are called underwear, underpants, or panties (the last are women’s garments specifically) to distinguish them from other pants that are worn on the outside. The term drawers normally refers to undergarments, but in some dialects, may be found as a synonym for reeches, that is, trousers. In these dialects, the term underdrawers is used for undergarments.

In Australia the terms pants and trousers are synonymous.

In most parts of the United Kingdom, trousers is the general category term, and pants refers to underwear. In some parts of Scotland, trousers are known as trews; taken from the early Middle English trouse, its plural developed into trousers.

Various people in the contemporary fashion industry use the word pant instead of pants. This is grammatically incorrect. The word pants is a plurale tantum, always in plural form much like the words scissors and tongs. The origin of pants is due to the use of two pieces of cloth in making it. Pant would actually mean just a single leg being covered with clothing.

Nomadic Eurasian horsemen such as the Iranian Scythians, along with Achaemenid Persians, were among the first to wear trousers.

In ancient China, trousers were only worn by soldiers.

Trousers were introduced into Western European culture at several points in history, but gained their current predominance only in the 16th century, from a Commedia dell’Arte character named Pantalone (Italian word for Trousers).[citation needed] In England in the Twelfth century, the rustic were often seen in long garments to the ankle, rather like trousers, which are really glorified braies. Strangely enough, trouserlike garments, which became rare again in the thirteenth century, vanished during the fourteenth century and scarcely reappeared for six hundred years. [2] The word itself is of Gaelic origin, from the Middle Irish word “triubhas” (close-fitting shorts).

Trousers trace their ancestry to the individual hose worn by men in the 15th century (which is why trousers are plural and not singular). The hose were easy to make and fastened to a doublet at the top with ties called “points”, but as time went by, the two hose were joined, first in the back then across the front, but still leaving a large opening for sanitary functions. Originally, doublets came almost to the knees, effectively covering the private parts, but as fashions changed and doublets became shorter, it became necessary for men to cover their genitals with a codpiece.

By the end of the 16th century, the codpiece had been incorporated into the hose, now usually called breeches, which were roughly knee-length and featured a fly or fall front opening.

chanel tall bootsDuring the French Revolution, the male citizens of France adopted a working-class costume including ankle-length trousers or pantaloons in place of the aristocratic knee-breeches. This style was introduced to England in the early 19th century, possibly by Beau Brummell, and supplanted breeches as fashionable street wear by mid-century. Breeches survived into the 1940s as the plus-fours or knickers worn for active sports and by young school-boys. Types of breeches are still worn today by baseball and Football Players.

Sailors may have played a role in the dissemination of trousers as a fashion around the world. In the 17th and 18th centuries, sailors wore baggy trousers known as galligaskins. Sailors were also the first to wear jeans — trousers made of denim. These became more popular in the late 19th century in the American West, because of their ruggedness and durability.

About Twitter – September 2009

About Twitter

Brevity might be the soul of wit, but it’s also the heart of social networking phenomenon Twitter.

The effect is similar to a page of nothing but Facebook status updates, where the author can share with the world their thoughts, feelings, links, products and just about anything in between…as long as each individual update sticks to the 140 character limit.

This seeming limitation is in fact its strength. It’s blogging for the time poor, the online equivalent of sending a text message rather than a lengthy phone call. Celebrities, CEO’s, Politicians and Journalists who might never have the time to maintain and update a traditional blog have embraced twitter and provide updates several times a day.

The fact that people can update their Twitter from their mobile phone has only added to its popularity and it’s not unusual for people to provide hourly updates.

Similarly, at only 140 characters long a tweet can convey a message to an audience of readers who would be unlikely to read a full blog post.

Essentially Twitter is fast, simple and easy real time communications tool, and one that’s proved overwhelmingly popular.

Twitter is currently ranked as one of the 50 most popular websites worldwide, and is the third most popular social networking after stalwarts Facebook and Myspace.

Twitter for business

So what does this mean for business? According to Twitter’s own business guide, Twitter 101, businesses ”can use Twitter to quickly share information with people interested in your company, gather real-time market intelligence and feedback, and build relationships with customers, partners and other people who care about your company”.

Already thousands of businesses have embraced Twitter as a way to communication with their customer base in a fun, fast and non-intrusive format.

The key here is communication. Twitter is not a one way street. Just as you can post your tweets, you also have the ability to follow other users and read and respond to their tweets, forming a relationship with your customers.

The Twitter Business Guide site provides some good case studies of companies that have used Twitter to engage with their customers and grow their business and customer relationships.

Tasti D-lite tweeted the worker about their delivery services and adding signage about delivery at the ESB location, which led to increased awareness and sales and also framed Tasti D-lite as a company which makes a genuine effort to converse, not just communicate with its customers.

Similarly Dell Computers uses Twitter to post coupons and special deals for their refurbished equipment division. Because Dell needs to turn over the inventory quickly it wasn’t considered viable to engage a costly ad agency. Instead, they used Twitter to advertise their specials and reach out to their potential customers direct.

The key here is that Dell and Tasti D-Lite monitored Twitter, engaged with people interested in their service or product and provided information that was of value. They didn’t just push something, they actually offered something, and in turn strengthened relationships with their customers.

Twitter allows you to search by keyword. If your company has an unusual name, search Twitter and see what other people are saying about it. Maybe they’re giving your product rave reviews. Or maybe they’ve picked up faults and deficiencies you may have overlooked. Either way, it’s valuable feedback that can be used to strengthen and grow your business.

What not to do

It seems simple, but consider how your business uses Twitter carefully. The very thing that makes Twitter great, speed and global communication also means any miscalculated efforts on your part can come under critical review from the Twitter community, who at times aren’t slow at grabbing their ‘twitchforks’.

Amazon discovered the power of Twitter in March of this year when writer Mark Probst found his book ‘The Filly’ had lost it’s previous high sales ranking on online bookseller Amazon. Further investigation revealed The Filly was no longer showing up for key words on searches. The explanation? The Filly, a gay romance novel had been reclassified as ‘adult material’ and removed from the rating system.

This was not an isolated incident, with it soon coming to light that thousands of books has lost their rankings after reclassification, with books classed as “gay”, “lesbian”, “transgender” no longer showing up on search. For authors this meant potentially missing out sales, and for the wider internet community it was seen as an attempt by Amazon to censor homosexual content.

The backlash, led by Twitter users, was swift and concentrated, with thousands of outraged users employing the ‘amazonfail’ tag in their tweets.

The damage to Amazon’s reputation was immeasurable.

Within hours Amazon’s reputation had plummeted amongst the online community who saw their categorization of gay and lesbian material as arbitrary and potentially discriminatory.

Amazon later stated the entire episode stemmed from an error with the coding used to sort search terms, and did not reflect an attempt to censor or suppress gay and lesbian literature. The damage was done however, with the episode demonstrating the power of Twitter as a new form of online protest, and one that can gather momentum with incredible speed.

While Amazon’s failure to communicate and engage with the Twitter community at the earliest opportunity may have helped fuel the backlash, another company found out that it’s no good trying to engage the Twitter community if you don’t do in the appropriate way.

Hashtags are ways to mark popular words within your tweets, to make it easier for people to search. For example, if I was present at the Ashes test match between England and Australia at Lords and I wanted to make it easier for people to find my tweet, I might tag it with the search term #ashes. Someone searching for information about the ashes would be more likely to find my tweet, and perhaps follow me.

Habitat UK committed the cardinal twitter sin of employing false or misleading hashtags to attempt drive traffic towards their tweets. The keywords they used included #iPhone and #Poh, a Materchef contestant. The most jarring misuse was the hashtag #MOUSAVI, in reference to the Iranian election candidate, which was seen in particularly poor taste given the tumultuous events surrounding the Iran elections.

Criticism from the Twitter community was swift and vitriolic, with Habitat’s actions seen at best as a misguided and lacking an understanding of twitter etiquette.

A spokesperson for Habitat UK later blamed the error on a rogue intern.

“The hashtags were uploaded without Habitat’s authorisation by an overenthusiastic intern who did not fully understand the ramifications of his actions,” a spokesman said.

“He is no longer associated with Habitat.”

It could be argued Habitat failed to use Twitter correctly not once but twice. There’s little doubt there use of hashtags was misguided and demonstrated a complete misreading of the situation. There are no shortcuts with social media.

The second error was in their apology. Rather than issue an official press statement blaming a subordinate, they could have sent direct messages to everyone who had posted critical tweets and attempted to clarify the situation.

It’s not only companies that have fallen victim to misuse of Twitter. Recently the English footballer Darren Bent and the Australian cricketer Phil Hughes both made comments on Twitter they later may have regretted.

Bent, tweeting about a potential transfer away from his currently club Tottenham Hotspur wrote “Do I wanna go Hull City NO. Do I wanna go stoke NO do I wanna go sunderland YES so stop f****** around levy .”

Levy is Daniel Levy, Tottenham chairman, who responded by reportedly fining Bent £80,000. Bent’s comments did not endear him to supporters of Hull or Stoke, and also may have harmed his reputation with his current club.

Australian cricket player Phil Hughes made a similar error of judgement, when he revealed he’d been dropped from the Australian team via his twitter, before the decision had been officially announced by the Australian selectors.

“Disappointed not to be on the field with the lads today, will be supporting the guys, it’s a BIG test match 4 us. Thanks 4 all the support!”

A public space

Twitter is incredibly powerful if used correctly, but misuse can easily backfire. In many ways Twitter appears to be a very personal tool, but the reality, especially for a business or celebrity is that their every online move is public and open to scrutiny. The key is to carefully consider your use, deal with your customers or potential stakeholders with respect, and offer value.

All About the Billiard Table

A billiards table is a table on which you play billiards or simply pool. Regulation billiard tables or Pool are exact rectangles and has the playing surface that measures at least ten by five feet. You may see other tables that are smaller or bigger, but the standard table is ten feet long and five feet wide. When you play pool you will play games like eight ball, nine ball, one pocket, and so on. The name will usually imply the rules of the game. Like with eight ball, you don’t want to sink the ball until all of your colors have been hit in a pocket. If you sink the eight ball before your ready, you automatically lose the game.

When it comes to the pockets of the table, you will notice that there are six pockets. You have four corner pockets and two side pockets (one on each side). You may find that pool tables aren’t prefect rectangles, but come in many shapes. They are not the standard table and are custom made.

You will also notice that the table as rails or cushions. It might be rubber, but the purpose is to rebound balls without losing the energy of the ball. The surface itself is covered in felt. Under the felt is usually slate. The top of the pool table is one solid piece of slate that can weigh hundreds of pounds. The slate is usually an import from Italy, Brazil, or China. If you have a cheap table the surface will be made of Slatron which is basically wood. If you don’t go for the slate, you will most likely find your table wearing out easily.

People play pool for money and a billiard table is well worth your time, money and energy. If you notice, many professionals will practice daily in their home. A good pool table needs to be level though, when you are training for a tournament, people practice for all different types of levels so that they can be prepared for anything. People who aren’t professionals play for money too. Pool is the most often game that is played for money next to cards. People will lay their money on the pool table and then they will rack and play to the end.

Experienced players will be able to even call the pocket in which they are aiming for. If you call and miss, you look like a fool. Many people do not call their hits so that they can avoid the potential embarrassment as well as not lose any money over it.

Pool is a game that everyone can play and uses glass balls and wooden sticks. The object of eight ball is to place all of your balls in the pockets without getting any of your opponent’s balls in or sinking the eight or black ball. Once you have all your balls in and all you got is the eight ball you must sink the ball without scratching, if you scratch you will lose the game.

Football/Ray Lewis w/The Ravens?

I was in the doctors office the other day while waiting for my son to be called back when I looked over and saw on the table Ray Lewis on the Front cover of The Sports illistrated magazine looking up w/ his hands like he is praying w/eyes open. I was saying to self what is the meaning of this? Why did he feel the need to take this picture? you see I was living at the time of the murder investigation in Georgia when he was charged yet set free, So my mind went there, Could the Ray Lewis be feeling some guilt from either knowing who really killed those two men? Or did he really kill those men and needed forgiveness from a Higher Power in order to Play better? LOL What do the football fans out there who have seen his picture think of his photo? Open to ALL comments only from those who have seen his photo, The November 2006 issue

i saw the cover too but i didnt think much of it, but i c it as Ray Lewis has gone through an image change off the field. u dont hear him having any run ins with the law anymore. hes still a mean S.O.B on the field but off the field hes been an “angel” not doing anything to get himself in trouble, hence the cover. thats what i interpret it as.
