I Don’t Do Sports, but I Wear Sneakers

How many people among those who wear their favorite Nike sneakers, or Puma sneakers, are actually sports people? Probably, less then half of those who wear sports shoes are into sports. The thing is that this type of footwear is very comfortable to wear.

First athletic shoes were invented in 1907, though some believe that the first basketball shoe was made in 1917th by Converse All Stars. The first basketball shoes were made by Spalding, specifically for basketball. Anyway, the first companies that decided to produce sneakers were small companies that were producing bicycle tires.

Throughout the time, this small business has evolved into a great industry, which not only involves athletic shoes, or sneakers, but it also involves nearly all of the sports wear, including jackets, pants, sweatshirts, jerseys, socks, etc. There’s a great range of sports companies that specialize on sports clothes and sports footwear, either for professional sportsmen, or average customers. For instance, such company as Nike (founded in 1964) not only comprehends sneakers, jackets and other for average people, but it also specializes in producing professional football, basketball, cricket and other sports shoes and clothes. Nike sneakers, such as Dunk shoes, are very common in basketball, since many basketball players are officially endorsing Nike production. Nike sneakers are very common in urban fashion, especially among such subcultures, like hip-hop and hardcore punk, which makes Nike sneakers not only a sports footwear but as well a part of many people’s daily lives.

Puma sneakers have evolved in Germany, when Puma Ltd started its way. Puma didn’t have such heavy influence on urban culture and fashion, like Nike, but it has penetrated European and worldwide sports. It is widely known and recognized by the best sports players and associations. Puma sneakers are also worn by average people, though not as often, like Nike sneakers. Puma’s production also includes sports wear, like sweatshirts, sports pants, jerseys, etc. Unlike Nike, Puma is also specialized in producing sports goods, which also makes the company closer to actual sports.

While not having as big role as Nike or Puma has had in modern sports and urban fashion, these companies were introducing sports wear and footwear in our daily lives. Now most people are inseparable from sports wear, since it has become a part of their lives. Pretty often it’s hard to find appropriate sneakers for reasonable price nowadays, but there is Internet and due to web stores, like Sneakers Shoes Store people can order various sportswears for minimum cost and delight their purchase on and on.

ankle socks — I agree, but I also love knee-high socks… haha

screamo, metal, hip hop, pop, and comedy music — Okay. I think screamo and metal are annoying, but I like most (but not country) genres.

mtv — I don’t really watch hardly any TV…

reading — Normal… I don’t like it, though. haha

i like to have my hair auburn — Pretty! mine’s naturally super dark, pretty much black. Never died it, because I figured the only way to go would be lighter…then my eyebrows would stand out too much. haha

to come up with weird phrases and words — Do this all the time. Like making up words and giving them meanings… “mooger” is that annoying car that isn’t paying attention, so they just go really slow and get in the way.

make up nick names — haha, ME TOO, definitely. Always either ridiculous or really irrelevant to most people that don’t know the inside joke that usually goes along with it

sunny days — Good stuff

i like brown eyes — I think most colors are nice…

i dislike:
nail polish — I agree, I never paint my nails

make up — I also agree. I do wear foundation, “sometimes” mascara, but almost never anything else

rainy, dark days — I don’t like or dislike them. Depends on the day. Sometimes I love them, just so I can wear my rain boots. Other days I hate them, because I can’t be outside.

preppy people — Agree

hollister, areo, name brands — You mean Aero? haha, I agree, only because everyone here that wears them is mostly under the age of 13, along with the occasional 40 year old. It’s just annoying to be wearing the same thing as your friend’s baby sister AND her mom… haha

whinny and screetchy voices — agree, like those annoying wittle babby voices…gosh

blue eyes(tho i have blue eyes -.- ) — I don’t really dislike them… I’m just glad people have eyes. haha

softball — Oh, shucks, I like softball.

haters — you hate haters? what a hater… j/k, haha, I LOVE haters for Twilight (woohoo! Twilight sucks!). otherwise, I don’t really care.
