Should I be worried about teammates stealing my equipment?

If you click on the tab you can see what a Football locker looks like. Last year in the freshman locker room, there was always this one kid who would hide my gloves and then show me before practice starts. It is quite annoying. I wouldn’t tell coach because I would be a snitch. Next year, I will be in the varsity locker. As you can see, there is a locker at the upper left which I imagine will be for cleats. There is also a bottom locker which I should put a lock on. How can not be worried about my teammate stealing my mouthguard, jersey, etc.?
If it really bothers you just tell him he is your teamate he should know when your serious. But if he doesn’t get it an keeps doing it just stick some icy hot on his jock strap or gurdle and then hit him hard in practice, he’ll get the idea.
