Can you use the Wii Classic Controller for College Football 09 and Madden 09 on the Wii?

I want to play NCAA Football on the Wii I bought for my wife, but not sure if the Wii Classic Controller will allow me to play the game like I used to on my X Box or Playstation. I pretty much do not want to use the Wand Controller to play the game

i don’t like the wii controls much ether….i’m use to the gamecube controls…im sure you can play with the classic controls as well
